How Does it Work ?
This technology is the most sought after none surgical treatment as its ability is to penetrate the superficial aponeurotic systems (SMAS) layer. SMAS is the same layer which is tightening during conventional facelift surgery.
HIFU uses ultrasound imaging so when the practitioner places the handset on the area that is to be treated, they can see the tissue on screen and target focused ultrasound beams at the right depth below the skin.
This targeting and rapid heating of the tissues prompts cell renewal beneath the skin and prompts the body to respond by producing more elastin and collagen, restoring the skin's underlying tissue and rejuvenating and tightening the skin.
This treatment is not painful, there can be slight discomfort while the thermal energy is being delivered but it is temporary and serves as a signal that the collagen building process has been initiated. The sensitivity varies from patient to patient and practitioners will discuss options to make the experience as pleasant as possible.
Aftercare
You can resume your normal activities right away, and there are no special measure you need to take. Avoid Sexual Activity for unto 2 weeks.
The skin may appear a little flushed immediately after the treatment, however any redness will disappear within a few hours. It is not uncommon to experience slight swelling a couple of days following the treatment, but this is mild and temporary. There is the possibility of other less common post procedural effect, such as small areas of temporary bruising or numbness which your practitioner will review with you.
