Areas to Treat
Nasolabial Lines – Skin folds that run from each side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Also known as ‘smile lines’ or ‘laugh lines’.
Marionette Lines – Creases that run from the corners of the mouth down towards the chin, creating a ‘downturned’ smile.
Perioral Lines – Fine or deep lines that can develop around the mouth. This can be due to genetics, smoking, sun damage or other lifestyle factors. Sometimes referred to as ‘smokers lines’.
Mid-face Volumisation – As we age, we can lose the natural youthful plumpness in our mid cheeks for a variety of reasons including a loss of fat pad support and break down of collagen and elastin. This volume loss is often present in class III severe eye bags and we often recommend additional mid face volume support alongside our 3-in-1 Eye Rejuvenation for these candidates
Scar Improvement – For individuals left with pitting, grooves or hollows after acne or certain skin conditions, the appearance can often be smoothened with dermal fillers more suitable for specific procedures than others.
About
Dermal Fillers are popular and versatile anti-ageing injectable treatment that plumps, volumises and lifts the skin leaving it smooth, contoured and youthful. With instant results and no down-time it’s easy to understand why it’s one of our most popular anti-ageing treatments.
Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin to help fill facial wrinkles restoring a smoother, more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid which is a safe and natural based product.
Dermal Fillers are temporary as hyaluronic acid is eventually absorbed by the body and naturally broken down. Dermal filler lasts around 6-12 months however this may vary with each client and lifestyle along with which part of the face the product is injected.
Successful results depend on health of the skin, skill of the pratitioner and the type of product used. A full and thorough consultation will be carried out with our highly skilled medical practitioners who will be able to discuss your areas of concern and advise the best way forward to achieve maximum results.
Science
We use premium grade highest strength prescription only hyaluronic acid (HA) to mould and define the lips.
The Hyaluronic acid HA that is already within our body plays the key role in skin rejuvenation, moisture and laxity. In the gel form of HA used for dermal fillers, HA draws water to the surface giving a plump, fuller appearance.
different companies have recreated HA in different densities, stabilities, molecular sizes and concentrations thus varying their hydrophilic potential allowing for variable longevity and moldability making certain reconstitutions more suitable for specific procedures than others.
Procedure
You will begin with a consultation, facial analysis and evaluation of your medical history and personal expectations by our aesthetician practitioner.
Your medical practitioner will begin by applying topical anaesthetic to your face. Once the anaesthetic has taken effect, the practitioner will administer the several small injections sites and replenish your youthful appearance.
Result
Results can last approximately 6 - 12months depending on the product chosen.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Immediately after you may experience: Itching, redness, tenderness and swelling in the treated area. If present this can last 72 hours however swelling is highly variable and can last up to 2 weeks in certain individuals.
Bruising can develop at injection points. Usually minimal but variable, some individuals are more prone to bruising naturally and take longer for the bruise to heal. We do a thorough medical evaluation before hand to reduce the risk of this but also advice limiting alcohol intake for 48 hours pre and post procedure to aid recovery.
