Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin to help fill facial wrinkles restoring a smoother, more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid which is a safe and natural sugar based product.
Dermal Fillers are temporary as hyaluronic acid is eventually absorbed by the body and naturally broken down. Dermal filler lasts around 6-9 months however this may vary with each client and lifestyle along with which part of the face the product is injected.

We use premium grade highest strength prescription only hyaluronic acid (HA) to mould and define the lips.

Procedure
You will begin with a consultation, facial analysis and evaluation of your medical history and personal expectations by our aesthetician practitioner.
Your practitioner will inject small quantities of filler into the border of the lips or body of the lip depending on the desired effect. The process can be uncomfortable and topical local anaesthetic will be applied to reduce any pain experienced. It should take approximately 30 minutes and the effects are instant.
Result
Lip borders can be defined and the shape and size of the lips can be enhanced either subtly or dramatically depending on the result the client desires. This treatment is also ideal for reducing lines and creases around the mouth area (including ‘smoker’s lines’). Results can last approximately 6 - 12months depending on the product chosen.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Immediately after you may experience: Itching, redness, tenderness and swelling in the treated area. If present this can last 72 hours however swelling is highly variable and can last up to 2 weeks in certain individuals.
Bruising can develop at injection points. Usually minimal but variable, some individuals are more prone to bruising naturally and take longer for the bruise to heal. We do a thorough medical evaluation before hand to reduce the risk of this but also advice limiting alcohol intake for 48 hours pre and post procedure to aid recovery.
Cautions / contraindications
Lip fillers are not suitable for anyone with severe allergies. You should not consider dermal fillers of any kind if you are pregnant or breastfeeding,
